The first CVCHRD Basic Research Ethics Training for the calendar year 2019 was held at Silliman University Medical Center which was also the co-host of the event last August 29-30, 2019 with 30 participants. Lectures and breakout session were spearheaded by Dr. Manuel Emerson S. Donaldo and Dr. Gemma N. Balein as the resource speakers.

The said activity was also organized and facilitated by Silliman University, as one of the members of CVCHRD and the Philippine Health Research Ethics Board.

This activity aims to equip existing and new member institutions to enhance and or establish their institution's research ethics board.
