Good Clinical Practice

Last October 23, 2018, participants from the member institutions of the Central Visayas Consortium for Health Research and Development (CVCHRD) engaged in the Training on Good Clinical Practice in the Elena O. Diola Conference Hall, DOST 7. The resource speakers for the said training were from the Chong Hua Institutional Review Board namely, Dr. Manuel Emerson Donaldo, Atty. Geraldine Cajilig, Fr. Benedicto Tao, and Dr. Cheryl Bullo.

Introduction to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), responsibilities of sponsors and investigators as well as safety reporting were tackled during the training. Moreover, importance of the process of informed consent, the institutional review boards/ ethics committees, and clinical trial monitoring were also highlighted. The training was comprised of a series of lectures, videos, and workshops for the participants to grasped the insights well.
